Bollywood Producer Chooses Vijay Deverakonda Over Prabhas?

Bollywood producer Karan Johar admires south actors a lot. For a long time, he has been planning to do a movie with a south star, particularly an established Telugu actor currently in demand and has a youth appeal in the industry. Rebel star Prabhas who became a household name across the state and also holds a pan India appeal after his appearance in Baahubali. Post Baahubali, Karan Johar had approached Prabhas with a proposal to make a film under the former’s production banner Dharma Productions. Prabhas is believed to have turned down the offer over remuneration differences. According to sources, Prabhas demanded that Karan Johar pay him Rs 20 Cr as remuneration. Karan Johar could have thought it is a fancy amount to pay for a debut actor in Bollywood. In fact, currently, Prabhas is drawing the same amount for Saaho.

That didn't stop Karan Johar’s quest to find a talented Telugu actor. Rumours are flying thick and fast that Karan Johar is planning to make a film with Tollywood youth sensation Vijay Deverakonda. Guess what? The story which was narrated by Karan to Prabhas, is reported to have gone to Vijay Deverakonda who will now be part of the film in all probability. It is also being speculated that Vijay Deverakonda had flown down to Mumbai to have atalk with Karan about the film. As of now, nothing is clear yet. An official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.

As you all know, Jahnvi Kapoor who made an appearance on Koffee with Karan expressed her desire to work with Vijay Deverakonda. If her dreams turn into reality, then it would mark Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut. After trying his luck in Tamil, Deverakonda is gearing up to test waters in Bollywood.
