It has already clocked a million views on digital media platforms. Mahesh Babu looks appealing with his beard in the film.

Sources say that the shooting of the film is going apace. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead role and Allari Naresh plays a key role in the film. The major part of the movie will be shot in the United States. Yesteryear actress Jayaprada is making her comeback with Maharshi. She will be seen Mahesh Babu's mother. Devi Sri Prasad scores the soundtrack. The film is jointly produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP cinema.

Meanwhile, Tollywood's most happening actor Vijay Deverakonda made an appearance on the sets of Maharshi to everyone's surprise. His presence on the sets took the social media platform, twitter, by storm.

With his recent success Geetha Govindam, Vijay has emerged as the most sought after actor in Tollywood for producers and directors. Mahesh Babu tweeted about the movie and congratulated the whole team. Speculation is rife that Vijay Deverakonda plays a cameo in Maharshi.
