Youth Plots Kidnap Bid After Girl Spurns Love

Hyderabad: A man was held for threatening and kidnapping a girl. The incident took place on Thursday under the Banjara Hills police station limits.

According to the police, the victim (21) lived in Madhapur at her relative's house. She works as an accountant at a private firm in Banjara Hills Road No. 12.

The accused Kadamanchi Nikhil (21) had been following the girl for some time and used to harass her in the name of love. The girl rejected his proposal several times but he didn't change his ways. Unable to bear the harassment, the girl shifted to her relative's house and changed her mobile number too.

Nikhil traced the girl's whereabouts within 10 days. On Thursday morning around 11 AM, he went to her office and forcibly made her sit on his bike. He also threatened to pour acid on her if she didn't go with him. Also, he threatened to kill her parents. Finally, the girl agreed to get on to the bike. They both went to LB Nagar and the girl said that she was hungry. Nikhil took her to a hotel and she loudly screamed that she was being kidnapped. The locals caught him and started beating him up after which he managed to escaped. The victim immediately informed her brother Sai Kumar. The police handed over the girl to her family members. Based on a complaint given by the girl, the police filed a Kidnap case against the accused. A search is on to nab him.
