Unable To Get Sister Married, Woman Ends Life

Hyderabad: A depressed woman committed suicide over her inability to get her sister married. She hanged herself at her house in the KPHB police station limits.

The deceased was identified as Lavanya (30) who lived with her husband Govind in Addagutta society. Govind works as a watchman in Srirama Apartments. Lavanya was worried about her sister and depressed over the fact that she was not able to get her sister married. A dejected Lavanya hanged herself to death on September 3. The police filed a case and investigating the matter after her relatives lodged a complaint.

Joblessness Drives Woman To Suicide

A married woman committed suicide here on Wednesday at Bhimpur. She was identified as Jyothi (30). Jyothi married Rathod Rajesh 10 years ago.

She had completed her MA, B.ed and had been job hunting for four years now. Recently, she applied for a CRT post at ITDA. But it didn't come through. Then she started cultivating cotton crop in her three acres of land. But the crop too was damaged due to recent floods.

On Sunday, Rajesh went to Tirupathi. Jyothi was mentally disturbed after back to back failures in her life. A dejected Jyothi consumed pesticides and ended her life on Wednesday. Jyothi's mother Kamalabai rushed her to the Government hospital but the doctors referred them to RIMS. She died on her way to RIMS. The couple had two children, 8 year old boy and 12 year old girl. The police has filed a case and started probing.
