Andhra Pradesh Hockey Association Gets International Recognition 

Governer Promises More Support To The Hockey Community   - Sakshi Post

Guntur: The Andhra Pradesh governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan attended AP Hockey's fifth annual day celebrations and hockey awards ceremony as a chief guest. It was held at the Beckmen Auditorium in Acharya Nagarjuna University on Sunday, November 4.

Speaking at the event he assured that the AP government will extend its full fledged support for promoting hockey. He further added that AP is in need of more modern Infrastructures, new stadiums, 'Centres of Excellence' and Hockey Academies for hockey players.

AP Hockey Association president, IAS officer MK Meena, Guntur district collector I Samuel, ANU incharge VC K Ramji, director of the   AP Hockey Association Niranjan Reddy, senior vice president Shareen Begum also attended the programme. The Governor has honored 15 most distinguished players in the field of hockey with award. He even distributed awards to nine players, coaches, professionals and representatives of the Association.
