YSR Rythu Bharosa: Farmers Rejoice  As Scheme Amount Enhanced By Rs 1000

Amaravati: Just a day before the launch of the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme on October 15th , Andhra Pradesh Government has enhanced the amount by Thousand Rupees i.e., from Rs 12,500 to Rs 13,500.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ,who held a review meeting about the inauguration programme of of the YSR Raithu Bharosa Scheme, had taken this decision to increase the Raithu Bharosa scheme amount.

As part of the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme farmers will be paid the amount in three instalments. Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kanna Babu said that the decision was taken in the wake of the flagship scheme will be formally launched by Chief Minister , where the first installment will be directly credited into the bank accounts of the farmers.

A high level review meeting on Agriculture and Rythu Bharosa was held here on Monday which was attended by Vice Chairman of Agriculture Mission MVS Nagi Reddy, Agriculture Minister K Kanna Babu, Magsaysay Award Winner and popular Journalist on Rural Affairs, Palagummi Sainath and representatives of various Farmers’ Unions among others.

The government has also decided to extend the scheme from four years to five years. On Sunday, the government issued a GO releasing Rs 5,510 crore as part of the budgetary allocation for the scheme by the government.

Meanwhile the stage is all set for the launch of the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme by the Chief Minister, on Tuesday, October 15 at Kaktur in Nellore district.
