YSRCP Govt To Build 1 Lakh Houses For Poor In Vijayawada By Ugadi

Vijayawada: 25 lakh houses across Andhra Pradesh will be built by the YSRCP government out of which one lakh houses will be built by next Ugadi in Vijayawada alone. The entire process of constructing 25 lakh houses all over the state will be completed over 5 years. The government has received 1.25 lakh applications from poor residents in Vijayawada.

Since it may not be possible to give house sites in Vijayawada due to scarcity of land, the government has decided to build houses and allocate them to the poor. The state government has decided to build G+3 floors on 1000 acres which it has acquired on the outskirts, with 100 houses per acre. Officials have held three meetings so far with regard to acquisition of land.
