1. President Ram Nath Kovind to pay two-day visit to Tirumala

President Ram Nath Kovind is likely to pay a two-day visit to Tirumala to offer prayers at the abode of Lord Venkateswara on July 13 and 14. According to sources, the President will arrive at Tirupati airport on July 13 by a special aircraft from where he will be driven to Padmavathi guesthouse at Tirumala He will stay there for the night.

2. Legislator travels by bus to connect with commuters

Chetti Phalguna, the legislator from Andhra Pradesh's Araku, travelled on a state-run bus to connect with people and experience the issues the commuters face in public transport. Phalguna, while going to attend a program in the tribal area of Pedabayalu, boarded an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus in Visakhapatnam district of the state.

3. Daughter of Dr YSR’s Aide Who Died In Copter Crash Appointed Deputy Collector

The daughter of Dr P Subramanyam, the IAS Officer during the regime of late Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who passed away in the tragic helicopter accident that killed Dr YSR on September 2, 2009 has been appointed as deputy collector. It may be recalled that Dr Subramanyam accompanied Dr YSR to take part in the rachabandha programme in Chittoor when the copter crashed in the forests of Nallamala near Srisailam.

City police booked a a man for drink and drive case after he rammed his car to a tree near Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills. There were three people in the car who suffered minor injuries as the air balloons of the car had blown up on the effect. They were later shifted to a hospital for treatment.

8. Father Attempts To Kill Children In Hyderabad To Acquire Gold, Held

In an inhumane act, a man attempted to kill his children in a bid to get ownership of gold that were deposited on their names in the bank by their dead mother who had committed suicide. The accused Fakira alias Raj Kumar, a resident of Ramaswamy compound in Gandhinagar, was arrested at Himayathnagar on Thursday. He hatched the conspiracy to kill his children Mayur Kumar and Baby Lakshya

9. Siblings Molest 4-Year-Old Neighbour

Two men aged 18 and 20 were taken into custody for molesting a 4-year-old girl in Hyderabad on Friday. The incident came to light only when the little girl had come out and spoken to her parents about the ordeal that she had to face. According to the details, the two men who are siblings had called out to the little girl who was from a house in the neighbourhood. They lured her with sweets and took her to their building’s terrace. They then molested her and dropped her back home.

10. Project For Menstrual Hygiene Awareness In Telangana Govt Schools

The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) on Thursday announced a collaboration with public sector enterprise Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on a pilot project to create awareness on menstruation and menstrual hygiene among children at government schools in Telangana.
