Chandrababu’s Frustration Reflects His Insecurity: YSRCP

YSRCP Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad:  YSR Congress Party senior leader Umareddy Venkateswarlu accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of creating a fuss over election process like never before and that it was borne out of his extreme frustration in the face of imminent defeat.

Speaking to press persons here on Thursday, the Leader of the Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council found fault with caretaker Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s functioning after the poll code came into being.

“Chandrababu is just a caretaker CM. But I have seen a caretaker CM does so many things like he does, which are in complete violation of Model Code of Conduct,” he added.

On Chandrabau’s comments that the Election Commission of India had conducted polls in the State in the very first phase with a mala fide intention was tantamount to finding fault with the reputed institution. “Only fools end up making such comments,” he lashed out.

The senior leader linked Chandrababu’s ruckus over the election process to YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy becoming the next chief minister.

He said a caretaker government can conduct reviews only when there is a natural calamity that requires administration to work in coordination. Even this is done with prior permission of the Election Commission of India. “But Chandrababu’s reviews are nothing but aimed at creating unnecessary uproar,” he alleged.

On Chandrababu’s recent visit to Polavaram and officers not turning up, he said that bureaucrats were bound by the Model Code of Conduct. “But Chandrababu’s objectionable comments against them are a sign of his growing frustration,” he alleged.

The senior YSRCP leader said that Chandrababu’s behaviour was reflective of a fear stemming out of the fact that YSRCP would form the next government.
