Chandrababu’s Eleventh Hour Tactics To Siphon Funds

YSR Kadapa: YSR Congress Party MLA's and leaders Ravindranath Reddy, Amjad Bhasha, Raghurami Reddy and Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his last minute efforts to try and empty the coffers of the state treasury.
Speaking to the media in the YSRCP Party office in Kadapa, Ravindranath Reddy said that Chandrababu had not intended to serve the people and was making last minute efforts to loot people's hard-earned money. He said that according to the Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS) report released on April 27 there was supposed to be Rs 402 Crore in the Provident Fund (PF) account. But now there was only Rs 5.69 Crore in the account, he said. It was clear that he had taken the amount and not just the PF amount, Chandrababu had also taken funds released by the 13th and 14th Finance Commission. The money was diverted to the Pasupu -Kumkuma scheme and to buy farmers’ votes through the Sukhibhava scheme, he alleged. Ravindranath Reddy said that the people of Andhra Pradesh wanted a change and were willing to give YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy an opportunity to run the state. He also exuded confidence that YS Jagan would win the elections with a thumping majority.
Speaking at the meeting, Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu said that Chandrababu was conducting reviews about the Polavaram project only because of the commissions involved in the project. Suresh Babu said that the drinking water situation in the Kadapa district was in a dire state and not a single bore well was dug in the district to help the people. Instead of reviewing the drought situation in the state, Chandrababu was keener on conducting reviews for commissions and violating the model code of conduct, he expressed angrily. Suresh Babu said that Chandrababu government did not intend to develop Rayalaseema and that there was no water supply from the Alugu reservoir till date.
YSRCP MLA Amjad Basha questioned as to how Chandrababu could conduct review meetings in blatant violation of the Model Code of Conduct. When the people of the district had no drinking water, why was he conducting review meeting he asked and said that Chandrababu was answerable to the people. He also said that Chandrababu had siphoned off money from the account of AP government employees, SC ST Sub-plan funds and from the Minority corporation funds. Amjad Basha concluded that the people's verdict would be rendered on May 23 and Chandrababu''s Party would be defeated.
YSRCP MLA Raghurami Reddy questioned as to what right Chandrababu had to conduct review meetings when the Model Code of Conduct was in place. He said that farmers in Rayalaseema were suffering and that there was no irrigation water and the fields had dried up leading to severe losses. The government was in no position to provide drinking water to the people in this area, he said. In reference to his statement that Chandrababu would be the Chief Minister till June 8, clearly indicated that he was conceding defeat, Raghurami Reddy said. Expressing confidence that the YSRCP would win more than 120 seats, he said that YS Jagan would be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of the state.
