Desperate Chandrababu Meets EC On Eve Of Polling

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a surprise last-minute move met the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Gopal Krishna Dwivedi apprising him over the IT raids on his party leaders and other issues. The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has requested the EC to not fall for these tactics by the Chief Minister.

Speaking to the media today, YSRCP State General Secretary MVS Nagireddy said that a detailed letter has been submitted to the CEO about the way Chandrababu has been conducting himself, whether it was going against the EC’s decision, or the transfer of the three police officials, his role in trying to retain the Intelligence Chief AB Venkateswara Rao. He also said that they had information that Chandrababu was planning a conspiracy to encourage a panic-like situation in the state, stage protests and create a situation where the voters would not be able to cast their votes freely.

MVS Nagireddy said that the YSRCP had information from the media about Chandrababu's conspiracy to try to tempt the voters. He said that a petition was submitted to the EC requesting him to ensure that a free and fair atmosphere is created, where the people of Andhra Pradesh can exercise their voting rights without any fear.
