Chandrababu Has No Moral Right To Continue As CM

Nellore: Affirming that Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to continue as Chief Minister after the data theft scandal broke out, YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that what he has been telling is a rewind of what he told when his involvement in the cash for vote was exposed in 2015.

‘The state residents data has been harvested by two private companies through the App they have developed for TDP in the name of Seva Mithra and when the concerned company was raided, he starts singing the tune of Andhra businessmen being targeted forgetting that what his government and the company IT Grids has done is a breach of data which even Supreme Court has objected to, he said while addressing Samara Sankharavam meeting largely attended by booth level workers and party sympathisers here on Tuesday.

Besides IT Grids, Bluefrogs of Vizag have been engaged in the data harvesting and the personal information of all residents of the state have been procured and stored in the servers of the two companies which are being used for political gains. How the confidential data was linked to the private companies is a matter of criminal intent.’

The heads of the two companies are very close the Chandrababu and his son Nara Lokesh and they are hangers-on in the Chief Minister’s Office which shows how the government has been working in tandem with private players involving the confidential data of residents of the state, including bank details, Aadhar number which is a crime and need to be tried under various provisions of the law, he said.

The names of those who are not in favour of TDP are being deleted and TDP, with the connivance of the two private companies, has been tampering with the voters’ list besides adding names that are likely to vote for the Party from other states.

When we have brought the discrepancies to the notice of Election Commission in Delhi and Chief Electoral Officer in the state, they have been levelling baseless allegations against us. When they are caught red-handed and raids take place Chandrababu sends Andhra police to Hyderabad following a WhatsApp message and started playing the same old tune when his name figured in the cash for vote case. He has been using the police as watchmen.

Our fight is not only against TDP but also against bogus pollsters, biased media, money power and unethical practices. The Chief Minister has been misusing official machinery to collect information and use them to their advantage.

The Leader of Opposition has asked the booth level workers to be alert and be in touch with each and every household and ensure that their names are there in the voters’ list and see to it that they come and vote, he said.

Propagate the Navaratnas and tell the people about the socio-economic changes the state would witness after we come to power. Also tell them about how Chandrababu Naidu had gone back on his election promises and how he tried to copy some the schemes we have announced two years ago and going to people just three months before the elections, he said.
