YS Jagan Attack Case: YSRCP Leaders Meet President To Seek Third Party Probe

New Delhi: Expressing their deep concern at the State government's laxity in probing the murder attempt on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress party (YSRCP) president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Visakhapatnam, YSR Congress leaders called on President Ramnath Kovind here today. After meeting the President, the leaders told the media that they sought a third party investigation into the heinous attack. He gave us a positive response, they added.

Among the leaders who visited the President were former MPs YV Subba Reddy, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, YS Avinash Reddy, Vara Prasad, Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarulu. Speaking on the occasion, Vijayasai Reddy wondered why Chandrababu was shying away from an independent probe in the attack on YS Jagan.

Vijayasai Reddy further said that Chandrababu was the main conspirator behind the attack while AP DGP RP Thakur, TDP leaders Adinarayana Reddy, Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao and actor Sivaji were also involved in the conspiracy. All the conspirators behind the attack would be exposed if an independent probe by a third-party investigative agency is ordered through President's orders or Court's directions, he added.
