TDP’s Dalit Tejam Programme Is A Failure: YSRCP

Nellore: YSR Congress Party leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy said that TDP's Dalit Tejam programme held today in Nellore was a failure. Speaking to media here today, he said hardly few thousands of people had turned up. In order to show that the programme as a success the TDP leaders were pooling in Anganwadi and Asha workers as well as members of women's groups to participate in the programme. He challenged TDP leaders to for a debate on what benefit had TDP government done to Dalits. "I am sure no TDP leader would come forward for this debate," he observed.

Kakani said that TDP minister Nara Lokesh had no moral right to criticise YSRCP President and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It was not right on part of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to claim that NTR was responsible in bestowing Barath Ratna to Dr BR Ambedkar, he said and added that it was only to due Dr Ambedkar's contribution to the country that he was awarded the nation's highest award.

He further said that everyone in the state doubted the integrity of CM Ramesh's protest. He reminded that TDP MP was also crititcising Ramesh's protest.
