Six Passengers Missing As Car Plunges Into Sagar Canal - Sakshi Post

Suryapet: Six passengers reported missing as car in which were travelling plunge into Nagarjunasagar Left Canal on late night of Friday. The incident took place near Chakirala village of Nadigudem mandal and the six occupants of car belong to AS Rao Nagar of Hyderabad.

According to Kodada DSP Sudarshan Reddy, all the six youth are working in a private hospital in AS Rao Nagar, Hyderabad and returning from their colleague’s marriage.

The private hospital management has confirmed that a total of eleven members of their staff left for its supervisor V. Mahesh’s marriage in two separate vehicles and the first car in which six were travelling was missing when the second one started following after the marriage.

The names of the missing staff were identified as Abdul Aziz, Santosh, Pavan, Rajesh, Nagesh and Jensen.

Kodad police said that heavy rain from Friday evening and poor light may be cause of accident. However, the irrigation waterway was flowing in good volume, owing to flood in the upstream, and two gates of the Nagarjunasagar too were lifted the previous day.
