Don’t Join These Institutions: Telangana Govt. Cautions Students

Hyderabad: The Higher Education Department of the Telangana government has cautioned students against joining educational institutions that are

offering B.Sc (Agricultural) on the grounds that are affiliated to reputed universities.

Disclosing the list of such institutions, the Department chairman T Papi Reddy said students should first verify if these study centers are recognised

by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The Telangana Higher Education Department cautioned students against joining educational institutions which claim to have affiliations to universities that are located in other states.

The list includes: Dr BR Ambedkar University (Agra), Singhania University (Rajasthan) and JS University

(Ferozabad, Uttar Pradesh). About eight study centers are being run in the state which claim to have affiliations to the above universities, he said.

Since these are private and state universities, they do not have the permission to open study centers in other states such as Telangana, Reddy

pointed out.

He said that neither the Telangana government nor the Acharya Jayashankar Agricultural University granted accord to any private educational

institution to run study centers or offer courses in agriculture. Reddy urged students to confirm the credentials of the private institutions and the

courses from the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in before applying.

Green Plants Institute of Agriculture (Vivekananda Nagar, Kukatpally)
Apollo Institute of Agriculture Technology and Research (Vanasthalipuram).
