TRS Popularity Waning: Revanth Reddy

Revanth Reddy - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: With TRS working president K T Rama Rao making light of Congress leader Revanth Reddy’s victory in Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, Reddy hit out at the former on Wednesday announcing that the recent election results were an indication of dipping popularity for the pink party in the State.

In an open letter directed at KTR, Reddy took potshots at TRS remarking that the yardstick for strength of any political party lay in its current position rather than what had happened either five months back or five years ago. He was pointing to TRS’ victorious performance in the Assembly elections in December and in the first elections held in Telangana in 2014.

He said TRS’ style of drawing a comparison with past elections were reflective of his poor thinking lacking any kind of substance. The Congress leader said in the five months TRS had lost nearly 20 lakh voters indicating what could be expected in the days to come.

Despite the conspiracies hatched by TRS to prevent him from winning, he said the people of Malkajgiri elected a questioning voice over a candidate who represented the government that believed in muzzling democratic voices.
