Why Asaduddin Owaisi Wants To Send Biryani To Amit Shah

Hyderabad: In a scathing attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah, the AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi found fault with Shah's jibe about Telangana careaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) sending biryani to the Muslims in the State. He was addressing a public meeting in Kukatpally constituency here on Tuesday.

During his recent visits to Telangana, Amit Shah was highly vocal against the TRS for siding with the MIM in the wake of elections. The MIM announced itself as a TRS-friendly party and declared that it would support TRS candidates across the State. In addition to the seven seats it had won in 2014, the MIM is contesting in the Rajendranagar constituency.

"I wasn't aware of Amit Shah's fondness for biryani. Had I known earlier, I would have sent him some biryani. If he is jealous that I am having biryani, I might as well send him some of it," the Hyderabad MP said to the public during the campaign.

Earlier in the week, Owaisi repeated his challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Congress President Rahul Gandhi to contest from Hyderabad. He wondered what Narendra Modi was fed at the former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif’s daughter’s wedding in 2015.
