Nayeem Gang Being Protected By KTR: V Hanumantha Rao

Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Official Spokesperson Indira Shobhan today said that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders were outmanoeuvred after TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy announced the Congress's plan to implement the new pension scheme after coming to power. Speaking to media at Gandhi Bhavan here, she said that the TRS government altered the eligible age for pension to 65 years, from the Congress party's pension scheme that provided pensions to citizens aged above 60. Ever since the alteration in the scheme, the TRS government has been misusing the Central funds, she added.

Shobhan said that the Bharatiya Janata Party's silence in this matter indicates a secret alliance between BJP and the TRS. "Instead of using foul language to critize the Congress leaders, the TRS leaders should focus on the State development. Around Rs 50 crore has been spent on the Integrated Household Survey (Smagra Kutumba Survey) across Telangana, but its benefits have never been revealed. Only KCR's family has been benefitted in the last four years," she commented.

Nayeem Victims Ignored: V Hanumantha Rao

Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao raised doubts over the police department's intention in not arresting gangster Nayeem's close aid Sheshanna. Speaking to media at Gandhi Bhavan here today, he said that Sheshanna was still protecting Nayeem's gang. "Why did the DGP not take action against Sheshanna?" he asked.

He wondered if IT minister K Taraka Rama Rao would offer a TRS ticket to Sheshanna in the upcoming elections.
