Telangana Assembly Monsoon Session After Dasara

Hyderabad: The monsoon session of Telangana Legislature may begin after Dasara festival. Telangana Assembly was scheduled to commence in fourth week of September. It’s learnt that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao on Tuesday took the decision to hold monsoon session of the Houses after Dasara. Official sources claimed that KCR took this decision before leaving for New Delhi.

KCR is attending an Apex Council meeting on water sharing with AP. Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti convened the Apex Council meeting.
State officials are engaged in preparation works in view of new districts coming into force from Dasara. Due to districts re-organiszation and other issues, the Assembly session would be held after Dasara.

Business Advisory Committee (BAC) tentatively scheduled monsoon session from September 20. Opposition parties and treasury benches had also agreed upon the fact that Assembly session should run for minimum period of 10 days. Governor ESL Narasimhan prorogued the Telangana Legislature as the State government would promulgate three ordinances.
