Unnerved by the massive response to the YSRCP campaign in poll-bound Nandyal, the ruling Telugu Desam Party is pulling all stops to dissuade people from attending the massive public meeting that YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to adress at the SPG Ground.

The TDP leaders are doing the rounds of the slum areas and interior colonies and are luring them with money if they abstain from YS Jagan's meeting. They have also threatened several people that their ration cards would be seized if them attended the meeting. However, the people of Nandyal are refusing to take the bait and have categorically said that they would attend the meeting of the Leader of the Opposition.

Meanwhile, YSRCP general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has also said that the TDP was unable to digest the popularity of YS Jagan among the masses and was doing everything at its command to thwart his tour. In another development, a large number of Agrigold victims flocked to the venue of the public meeting extending their support to the YSRCP. They said they were backing YS Jagan as he had assured to provide them succour if voted to power.
