Revanth Reddy Ensures TDP Meet Ends In Whimper

Even as party secretary general Nara Lokesh arrived in Hyderabad to douse the fires within the Telugu Desam Party following Revanth Reddy's explosive comments, the party meeting of the top brass in Telangana ended with senior leaders Motkupalli Narsimhulu and Aravind Goud staging a walkout.

Motkupalli Narsimhulu sought to know in what capacity did Revanth meet the Congress leaders. He also questioned Revanth Reddy's comments on Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Paritala Sunitha and others, who are members of the Chandrababu Naidu ministry in Andhra Pradesh. However, Revanth Reddy said he was not answerable to any of the leaders and added that he would explain his stand to party supremo Chandrababu Naidu alone. He questioned the party leaders about what their contribution to the party in Telangana. "I went to prison for the party. What did you do?" he asked the other leaders.

The meeting, held to discuss the comments made by Revanth Reddy, turned out to be a non-starter what with Revanth Reddy to attending it. He, in effect, took the sting out of the meeting. With both Motkupalli and Aravind Goud walking out, the meeting has simply fizzled.

Revanth is said to be planning to take most district level TDP leaders with him. He is said to be in talks with the party leaders at all levels. However, Revanth was shocked to know to that several leaders from his constituency of Kodangal are set to join the TRS.
