Rajinikanth’s 2.0 Goes the Baahubali Way

Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 is hogging the limelight ever since it as officially announced. Initially, the movie 2.0 was supposed to release on January 26 but got postponed due to Akshay Kumar's Padman.

The makers of 2.0 are now planning to release the film on April 14 which coincides with the celebration of Tamil New Year. It would be a perfect time for filmmakers because it's summer holidays.

Looks like they are eyeing the time Baahubali released last year. Last time, Rajamouli released Prabhas' Baahubali 2 in summer. It earned more than Rs 1000 crores at the worldwide box office.

According to sources, 2.0 release has now been pushed from January to April due to non-completion of post-production works.

2.0 is directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Apart from Rajinikanth, the movie also features Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in key roles.
