KCR Fast For Telangana, A Farce: Uttam

Hyderabad: Caretaker Telangana Chief Minister, K.Chandrashekhar Rao's claim that he was responsible for achieving a separate Telangana through his fast unto death was a farce, said TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy here. He was speaking in the greater Hyderabad meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan. In what seems to be a refrain among Congress leaders, Uttam claimed to have all evidence on KCR's fast. He was on fluids and took the required medication while he claimed to be on fast, the TPCC president said about KCR's protest fast in 2009. "What he did was only grow his beard, added Uttam Kumar Reddy sarcastically.

While in the act of fasting, he snatched away juice glass from the hospital compounder, Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed. Because of the Osmania students, he started the fast again in NIMS hospital. "We have the discharge reports issued by the doctors, in which it is mentioned that doctors gave him fluids."

KCR lacks patriotism,

After ending his fake fast on December 20, 2009, KCR claimed that the fast is not going to stop even 4 lakh people died. Prior to that on November 30th in Siddipet, Harish Rao threatened to commit self-immolation which he never did. It is the students who gave their life for Telangana, he said.

Whom we forge alliances with is not for them to bother he added. Why is he joining hands with the MIM party which was against Telangana, he said.

Hyderabad’s growth was under Congress rule

TRS did nothing for the development of Hyderabad city. It was under the Congress rule that all the civic amenities were built, he said. It was under Congress government that all the development activities like Shamshabad Airport, Outer ring road, PV expressway, Metro rail were built. Congress put Hyderabad on the international map, he further added. Uttam Kumar also made a statement that KCR and his son KTR are accepting commissions in the irrigation water projects up to 6%.
