Now, Pay Traffic Challans In Old Notes 

Hyderabad: The motorists now can pay their traffic challan dues with the demonetized notes till Monday evening. The Hyderabad police took the cue from GHMC and Water Board and informed about it in a press release on Sunday.

"People can pay traffic challan dues with old Rs 500 and Rs1,000 notes till Monday evening at Eseva, Mee Seva centres, Bill Desk, Andhra Bank, SBI and ICICI Bank," said LS Chauhan DCP-I (traffic).

The official added that as nearly 80 percent of traffic challans are payed through cash therefore they took the initiative for the convenience of people.

"Before the demonetization move, the traffic police could collect challan payments of around Rs 10 lakh per day . After the demonetization move, the daily payment drastically fell and has not crossed the Rs 3 lakh mark," the Times of India reported.
