Telangana Govt Decentralises IT Corridor at Uppal Park With Free WiFi Zone

- Uppal Theme Park - Sakshi Post

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is developing a theme park that is spread over 2,000 sq. yards near the Uppal junction. This space has exclusive areas marked for adults and children where they can relax, plug in their laptops and work using a free wifi facility, take a quick walk break and breathe in some fresh air as well.

Many highlights of the park make it different from other parks situated in the city. The construction cost of the park which includes a walking track, washroom, plenty of greenery, two fountains, a selfie point, a treehouse with slides for kids, flowering plants and colourful illumination is around Rs 1 crore.

The theme of the park which will be inaugurated within a month is ‘decentralisation of the IT corridor’ – a brainchild of IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

The key attractions of the park are:

  • The park has two fountains, one at the entrance and the second one is a theme-based fountain built in the shape of a tree. The aerial view of the tree fountain looks like a map of Telangana covered with green and receiving rainfall.
  • Treehouses with slides are in store for kids. Apart from that, the kids play zone is decked up with wooden seating and a worm-shaped roller is also placed.
  • Unlike regular parks, the lung space has exclusive seating arrangements with charging facilities. Officials said that they will be providing a free- wifi zone so the adults who visit the park can also work from there.
  • The setbacks of the park have been converted into a walking track while there are also washrooms for visitors.
  • Colourful illumination is one of the major attractions in the park. The walls of the parks are also illuminated to give lung space an aesthetic look.
