School Holidays for 4 Days in Telangana For This Reason

 - Sakshi Post

Educational institutions in Sangareddy district have been given a four-day holiday this week to facilitate smooth conduct of local polling and related activities. Authorities have announced that schools in the district will remain closed on February 11, which has been designated a holiday in view of the polling arrangements.

This closure is followed by another holiday on February 13, when the election results are expected to be counted. With the Second Saturday on February 14 and Sunday on February 15 falling immediately after, students and staff in Sangareddy will enjoy a continuous break spanning four consecutive days.

The decision to grant this extended holiday aims to ensure that school staff and students are not affected by election duties or disruptions during the voting process. On polling day, many educational institutions temporarily serve as polling stations or are involved in support activities for the poll exercise.

In addition to school closures, normal operations at some government offices in the district may be adjusted to allow officials and staff to participate in the electoral process.
