Jubilee Hills by-election: Paid holidays declared on Nov 10, 11, and 14

 - Sakshi Post

In preparation for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election, the state government has announced paid holidays for offices and institutions hosting counting centers and polling stations on November 10, 11, and 14. These dates correspond to the day before the poll, the polling day, and the counting day, respectively.

November 11 has also been declared a holiday for government offices and educational institutions within the Jubilee Hills constituency. Registered government employees who are voters in the constituency have been granted special casual leave, allowing them to exercise their franchise.

The Jubilee Hills by-election is shaping up to be a three-cornered contest between the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Congress, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BRS has nominated Maganti Sunitha, widow of the late Maganti Gopinath, while Congress has put forward Naveen Yadav, and the BJP has fielded Lanka Deepak Reddy, who previously contested the seat in the 2023 Assembly elections.

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), led by Assaduddin Owaisi, has announced its support for the Congress candidate. The by-election is being held to fill the vacancy created by the passing of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath in June this year.

The election is expected to be a keenly contested one, with all parties vying for the seat. The outcome is likely to provide valuable insights into the current political landscape in the state.

Polling will take place on November 11, and the results are expected to be declared on November 14. The state government has made arrangements to ensure a smooth and peaceful voting process.

Voters in the Jubilee Hills constituency are expected to turn out in large numbers to exercise their franchise. The election is seen as a significant Baraat procession, with voters showing their support for their preferred candidates.

The election is being closely watched, and the results are likely to have implications for the political landscape in the state.
