Hyderabad: Superstar Krishna Suffers Cardiac Arrest, Doctors Say Condition Critical

HYDERABAD: Superstar Krishna who was hospitalized had suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of the night and was admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state by his family members.

Continental Hospital Chairman Dr. Guru N Reddy said that Krishna was taken to the emergency ward where the doctors immediately rendered CPR for 20 minutes. After they revived him he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit and is currently on the ventilator, the doctor said. Addressing a press meeting at 1 pm the doctor stated that his condition was critical and they would have to wait for 24 hours for any further improvement in his health.

They said that every hour was crucial and they could not comment further till there was an improvement in his health condition and all efforts were being made to ensure he recovers. He was being treated through the ventilator and the Cardiologist said that would only have to hope and pray that he recovers. He said that Krishna would regularly visit the hospital for check-ups in the past nine years and the best treatment was being given to him and sought privacy for the time being when questioned about the actor's other complications. Doctors said that all the close family members of the veteran actor were present at the hospital by his side. The doctors also informed that they would update the press about the health condition of the veteran actor tomorrow at 1 pm.

It is learnt that Krishna's son Mahesh Babu reached the hospital and has joined the rest of the family members.
