Rohit Sharma Reveals Virat Kohli's Batting Position in T20 World Cup 2022

Following Virat Kohli's 71st tonne against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 there were a lot of discussions that Virat Kohli should be the opener for the T20 World Cup 2022. It is known that Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were the openers for that match. Even a few cricket experts backed Virat Kohli as an opener for the prestigious tournament.

Ahead of the T20I series against Australia, Indian skipper Rohit Sharam attended the press meet and opened up on who will open the team for T20 World Cup, which is slated to begin in October. 

"Virat Kohli is definitely an opening option for us for the T20 World Cup and we will always keep that in mind. Since we have not taken the third opener, he opens for his franchise RCB and he has done really well, so it is a definite option for us," Rohit Sharma

"Virat Kohli is our Third opener and he will open in some of the games. In the last match, he played really well against Afghanistan. We are happy. But we are clear this KL Rahul will open the batting in T20 World Cup," Rohit Sharma
