IPL 2022 DC vs RR: Why Rishabh Pant And Shardul Thakur Were Fined?

 - Sakshi Post

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant was fined 100% of his match money for violating the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team's game against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, according to an official announcement on Saturday. Delhi Capitals all-rounder Shardul Thakur has been penalised with 50% of his match money for violating the Code of Conduct. Pravin Amre, the Delhi Capitals' assistant coach, has also been penalised 100% of his match fee for violating the Code of Conduct. In addition, he gets a one-game suspension for the offense.

The Delhi Capitals needed 36 runs in the last over of the match on Friday to win, chasing 223. Rajasthan pacer Obed McCoy produced a full-toss on the third ball of the over, which Rovman Powell hit for a six. However, the Delhi Capitals players alleged it for a no-ball and the players began gestures from the dugout asking to review whether it was a no-ball or not.
