Asia Cup 2022 IND vs SL: Rohit Sharma Must Quit Captaincy, Say Fans
In a nail-biting finish, India lost to Sri Lanka by 6 wickets and got eliminated from the Asia Cup 2022. India got off to a slow start, but they rallied because of Rohit Sharma's outstanding batting. In twenty overs, they scored 173 runs.
Chasing the target, Sri Lanka had an outstanding start. The Openers set a good platform and took the game away from India. Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Chandran Ashwin took wickets and put pressure on the Sri Lanka batsmen. However, Bhanuka Rajapaksa (25 not out) and Dasun Shanaka (33 not out) stitched a 64-run partnership for the fifth wicket and won the game.
Fans were trolling Rohit Sharma, saying he was not able to bear pressure and was not listening to bowlers during field selection. During the last over, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma paid no heed to what Arshdeep Singh had to say. Rohit Sharma didn't even bother to listen to his fast bowler, who was bowling the final over.
Here are the reactions:
He is frustrated, desperate, jumpy, arrogant he can't be leader, he is not able to bear pressure, It is time to give him break. Bring again kholi or hardik as captain at least they have energy, they never let down their guard easily.#SackRohit pic.twitter.com/vfg7w2Xrrd
