Maharashtra Tragedy: iPhone EMI Dispute Claims Lives of Three Family Members

A dispute over an iPhone EMI payment ended in a tragic incident in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, where a teenager and his parents lost their lives.
According to reports, the teenager had purchased an iPhone and was reportedly facing difficulty arranging money for the instalments. Following an argument with his father over the EMI, he went to Khavda Hill in the Tisgaon area.
The teenager remained near the edge of the hill for several hours despite efforts by his parents, local residents, police and fire personnel to convince him to return. Rescue teams also attempted to make arrangements to prevent a possible fall.
During the rescue attempt, the teenager fell from the hill. His father, who tried to save him, also lost his balance and fell. The mother, who witnessed the incident, subsequently fell as well. All three family members died in the incident.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem procedures. An investigation is underway to establish the complete circumstances behind the tragedy.
The incident has drawn attention to how a dispute over an expensive purchase and financial pressure can escalate into a devastating family tragedy.
