YSRCP Demands CBI Probe on TTD AVSO Satish Kumar’s Death

Former minister Sake Sailajanath has alleged that the death of former TTD AVSO Satish Kumar is “nothing short of a government-orchestrated killing,” blaming it on what he described as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s “Red Book governance” that has overridden Ambedkar’s Constitution. Speaking at the YSRCP central office, he accused the ruling coalition of executing a political conspiracy to implicate YSRCP leaders in the Parakamani case and subjecting Satish Kumar to relentless harassment as part of that plot.
Sailajanath said TDP leaders issued false and pre-drafted statements even before a preliminary investigation or post-mortem report, which he claimed clearly shows an attempt to frame YSRCP leaders. He accused the ruling party of openly influencing investigative agencies and making irresponsible public comments to steer the probe in a predetermined direction.
Questioning the treatment of officials, he asked why the officer who first identified and reported the Parakamani theft was repeatedly summoned and humiliated under the guise of inquiry. He said the coalition government has made it routine to file complaints through proxies, drag officials to court without evidence, push them into remand, and only afterwards look for facts. “It is unprecedented that police officers are now being forced to investigate and harass fellow police officers,” he said.
Citing examples, Sailajanath named senior IPS officers PSR Anjaneyulu, Vishal Gunni, Sunil Kumar, and even the alleged physical torture of a gunman who once served Chevireddy, to argue that hundreds of officers are being denied postings and threatened with voluntary retirement if they do not obey political directives.
Raising further questions, he demanded to know why Satish Kumar’s wife’s phone was seized, why their house was taken under police control, and why the family’s movement was restricted. These actions, he said, have triggered widespread public suspicion. Only a CBI probe or an investigation overseen by a sitting Supreme Court judge can expose the truth, he added. He accused the government of dividing officers into “favourable” and “unfavourable” groups and using fear, threats, imprisonment, and false cases to force compliance.
Sailajanath also condemned the attack on the YSRCP office in Hindupur, calling it an undemocratic and politically motivated act. He questioned whether people should be attacked simply for asking why MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna rarely visits his own constituency. He alleged that TTD-backed groups were behaving as though no one has the right to question them, but asserted that YSRCP workers “will not be intimidated.” Power is temporary, he warned, urging Chandrababu Naidu to remember that.
He said the ruling coalition has created an atmosphere where anyone who questions government failures becomes a target, with attacks on individuals and party offices becoming routine. The people of Andhra Pradesh, he said, are watching this “arrogance and lawlessness” closely.
Sailajanath reiterated that Satish Kumar’s death must be investigated independently and transparently, insisting that only such a probe will bring out the full extent of the alleged conspiracy behind what he called a government-driven killing.
