Nandyal Man Walking Barefoot Since 11 Years, His Reason Will Shock You

It's Been 11 Years But This Man Won't Wear Shoes Until He Meets CM YS Jagan - Sakshi Post

KURNOOL: With summer setting in, a man going for work is seen walking barefoot on a tar road in the blazing hot sun in Nandyal mandal of the Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh.

A Sakshi reporter approached him and asked him as to why he was walking without footwear in the hot sun. Happy to have met the journo, the man introduced himself as Dudekula Kasim. He said that he hailed from Kanala village in Nandyal mandal of Kurnool district.

He said that he had met 'Jagananna' in the year 2010 when he had come to Kurnool district as part of the 'Odarpu Yatra', after the demise of his father, the late chief minister Dr YS  Rajasekhara Reddy.

Kasim explained that he had taken an oath in the presence of his friends and villagers that he would not wear slippers until his 'anna', YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of the late Dr YSR becomes the Chief Minister. Moreover, that only after meeting him as the Chiefs Minister he would wear slippers again. Since then he has been walking barefoot for eleven years.

The man said that he had also met Nandyal YSRCP MLA Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy and requested him to take him to meet Chief Minister YS Jagan, to which he agreed.

The villagers meanwhile are worried that if Kasim who worked as a labourer did not meet the CM would end up hurting himself and requested that Kasim be taken to meet YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the earliest.
