Keerthy Suresh is in the news ever since Mahanati film opened in theatres. She has reprised the role of yesteryear actress Savitri role in the latter's biopic Mahanati. The film has not only been appreciated by critics and but also received positive buzz from all corners.

Mahanati is a wom an -centric film which went on to collect $2 million at the box office by end of two weeks. This i s the first female centric fil m to have crossed the $2 million mark at overseas box office. The film has managed to rake in $86,514 at the ticket window. It has kept the cash register s ringing at the box office since its opening day.

The film hasn’t seen any dip in collections though it faced competition from other films.

Mahanati tells the true life story of Legendary actor Savitri and her rise to stardome in south cinema. What problems she faced after marrying super star Gemini Ganesha and her alcohol addiction becomes the crux of the story. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subramanyam fame.

Dulquer Salman who made his Tollywood debut with Mahanati has won hearts of the audiences and played a powerful role in the film. Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda and Naga Chaitanya aee seen in pivotal roles. Watch this space for more.
