Review: Allu Arjun as an angry young officer Surya nails it with his performance. You can see his efforts in almost every scene. For an actor who has juggled comedy, romance and action films, this role comes across as fresh. And knowing Bunny, his performance needs no praises as he's known to get into the skin of the character in every movie.

Anu Emmanuel has evolved as an actress. From what we saw her in Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi, she has worked on her few flaws and excels in her role as Bunny's love interest. She will be one of the sought after actors for Tollywood filmmakers after Naa Peru Surya.

Arjun Sarja...Ah! How long had it been since we saw him in a straight Telugu movie except for Ramraj commercials? It's nice to see Telugu movies roping in fresh faces from Kollywood like Arjun, Sarathkumar. It was a much needed change. Anoop has little role to play yet excels in the limited screen time offered to him.

Boman Irani as a strict Army professional pays justice to his role and an apt choice. Nadhiya and Saikumar are wasted!

The first half is a breeze and Surya's character is introduced well. It's in the second half that the movie gets intense. The way the hero identifies his weakness and takes it a challenge to work on it is excellent.

Vakkantham Vamsi has done a great job as a debutante. Perhaps his writing experiences has come handy given the way he brings his visualiazation to life on screen. The screenplay could have been tight though.

Verdict: A movie worth watching, a change from all the recent commercial flicks. A visual treat for Allu Arjun fans. The film is a conflict between what one is expected to be and what one wants to be. Is it okay to compromise on your ideals to fulfill your dreams? What’s more important being somebody that everybody likes or being yourself? Watch Naa Peru Surya to find out. The punch dialogues, ideologies and Sainikia song are sure to give you goosebumps.
