Much awaited Dhruva has hit the marquee. This is a make or break film for Ram Charan Tej, whose previous couple of films had flopped. Also, this is a remake of hugely successful Tamil flick Thani Oruvan. Will remake make the day for Ram Charan? Will sweet success smile on him finally? Who has won in the scene-to-scene and dialogue-to-dialogue confrontation between titans Ram Charan and suave Aravind Swamy? Read on for a review of the coveted flick that raised expectations sky high....

Gripping plot, stunning taking

Dhruva is the story of a passionate, clever and calculative cop who is tasked to destroy the most corrupt man, a consummate villain , who is as suave as he is scheming, as smiling as he is secretive, as innocuous looking as he is foxy in his moves. While Cherry plays cop Dhruva, Aravind Swamy essasys the role of a stylish villain with panache. Rakulpreet adds glam quotient as Dhruva's love interest.

The first 10 minutes of the film are as gripping as they are thrilling. The director ensures that the film does not get slackened at any point of time. He ensures the screenplay is taut and the taking is edge-of-the seat thrilling. The bang before interval and the climax will keep you transfixed, while the whole film is replete with nerve-wraking mind games. Songs are timely and are an eyefeast. The action scenes are mesmerising.

Histrionics in full flow

Cherry undoubtedly died a lot of sweating to transform himself for this movie. His Greek God bod, his stunning looks and his histrionics show and they show exemplarily. But, it is the soft looking hard villain Aravind Swamy who steals the show. Rakul Preet is an added asset of glamour and has acted too.

Director Surender Reddy sticks to the original barring some minor changes here and there. The songs like Choosa Choosa, Neethoney Dance have got the great response from the audience.
