Massage Parlor Therapist Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault on Customers

A popular spa in America — Massage Envy is facing sexual allegation charges from more than 180 women. According to a Buzzfeed news investigation, the allegations came to light after a woman named Susan Ingram came out to speak on the sexual assault.

The Massage Envy is the largest chain of massage franchise in the US with 1200 spas and more than 20,000 therapists. The company has more than 1.6 million members in the country.

Susan Ingram alleged that she was assaulted by a therapist James Deiter at Massage Envy spa in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 2017. Deiter, who also assaulted nine other women earlier is now in prison after pleading guilty.
