Hyderabadis Get Respite From Heatwave; Showers To Continue

The people reeling under intense heat got some relief after showers on Saturday and Sunday - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: A little respite Hyderabadis got from the sweltering heatwave thanks to the small showers here and there in the city on Sunday may continue for some more time; the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a 24 hour rainfall alert across Telangana. A Skymet Weather official said that the showers are likely to occur during afternoon and evening making an interim rain spell.

An IMD official said, "It depends on the moisture in the atmosphere. At present, due to winds from Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, there is enough moisture, which is causing the pre-monsoon showers. We issued a thunderstorm warning for a few places in Hyderabad on Monday."
