Ganta eyeing cabinet berth ?

TDP MLAs are now trying their level best to get a berth in the state cabinet in Andhra Pradesh.

Former minister and Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinvasa Rao has eyed on the post of deputy chief minister of the state. He said he was ready to take up the post if called upon by Chandrababu Naidu.

Eyeing ministerial berths, both Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ayyanna Patrudu are engaged in war of words for sometime. There were occasions when Chandrababu had to intervene to settle the disputes between the two senior leaders.

Ganta later joined erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party of Chiranjeevi leaving TDP. Later, he joined the Congress along with Chiranjeevi when PRP was merged into the Congress. Finally, he joined the TDP and won from Bheemili assembly constituency in the recent assembly elections.

Ayyanna Patrudu had strongly opposed the entry of Ganta into TDP. He even considered leaving the TDP in protest. But, he abandoned the idea after Chandrababu intervened.

Now, Ganta and Ayyanna Patrudu have started war of words with an eye on cabinet berth.
