Fareeduddin Set to Get Elected Unopposed to Council

* Fareeduddin was a Minister during Congress regime.

* He lost to G Kishan Reddy in 2009 Elections and has been in political wilderness ever since.

* Joined TRS and was made party candidate for MLC bypoll

Former minister and Congress-turned-TRS leader Fareeduddin is all set to get elected unopposed to the Telangana legislative council. With only Fareeduddin filing his papers before the expiry of deadline for filing nominations on Monday, his election is now a mere formality.

The MLA quota MLC bypoll is being held as the incumbet Tummala Nageswara Rao has been elected from Paleru in a bypoll. Fareeduddin thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao for reposing faith in him and added that he would do his bit for the slew of welfare and developmental initiatives put in place by the KCR Government.

Legislative Affairs Minister Harish Rao, Deputy Chief Minister Mahmud Ali, Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy and others accompanied Fareeduddin, when he files his nomination.
