Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 is performing well at the box office. The film has received positive reviews from all quarters. The strong word of mouth about the film is helping the audience flocking theatres. The film has crossed Rs 500 Cr mark at the world box office. It has became third highest grossing film after Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju and Ranveer Singh's Padmaavat.

Rajinikanth is seen in three different avatars which is an eye feast for fans and audiences can't stop going gaga over the film and visual efffects. The film is directed by Shankar also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in key roles. 2.0 marks the debut of Akshay Kumar in Tamil and he is seen playing as Pakshi Raj ( king bird).

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently busy with his next titled Petta under the direction of Karthik Subbaraj. The film will hit the screens in January 2019. The film will have an epic clash with Telugu films in Pongal race at Tamil box office.
