Man Pours Petrol On Parents, Sets Them On Fire In Anantapur

Anantapur: A man poured petrol over his parents and set them on fire on Saturday over property disputes. The incident took place in Kanekal village of Anantapur district. Going into the details, the man, identified as Madhusudan Reddy had been pressurizing his parents - Narasamma and Narayana Reddy to handover the family properties to him for a long time.

With his parents ignoring his demands, Madhusudan Reddy doused them with petrol and set them on fire on Saturday at their residence.

While Narasamma succumbed to death on the spot, Narayana Reddy sustained severe burn injuries in the incident. Hearing the screams, the neighbours extinguished the fire and rushed Narayana Reddy to the nearby hospital where the doctors stated that his condition is critical.

The family members then shifted Narayana Reddy to Ballari NIMS hospital for better treatment. Based on Narayana Reddy's statement, the police have registered a case on Madhusudan Reddy, who is absconding.
