Woman Files Case Against Lover After He Rejects Marriage Proposal

Nallakunta: A woman staged a protest in front of her boyfriend's house on Saturday after he refused to marry her.

Stating that he had cheated her in the pretext of love, the woman, J Lavanya (29) demanded justice from the police.

According to the victim's story, she met Y Harish Reddy (30), owner of clothing store a year ago and soon the couple were in a relationship.

However, when Lavanya broached the subject of marriage, Harish Reddy refused to marry her. Following this, Lavanya filed a police complaint on February 4. However, with the police not taking any action in this regard, she staged a protest in front of Harish's house in Tilak Nagar, Nallakunta in Hyderabad on Saturday.

The police intervened in the situation and learning the issue, took Harish Reddy into remand.
