BJP will form Govt in Telangana in 2019: Amit Shah

BJP national president Amit Shah is on a whirlwind tour of Telugu states.

On Thursday, he listed the BJP-led government's achievements and outlined the party's priorities for the future. He has also unveiled a route map for the party in Telangana state. 
Here are the highlights of Amit Shah's presser.
 
* the BJP will enroll 35 lakh members in Telangana state. We expect the membership to be successful. We hope BJP enrolls 10 crore new members. Online membership is getting great response.
 
* BJP won full mandate in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and the BJP-led NDA is in power at the Centre. The BJP managed to increase its support base in Telangana also. We secured 22 per cent votes in Telangana. We will try to achieve power in 2019 elections.
 
* Our focus would be on implementing all the promises given during the election campaign. The BJP has managed to instill confidence in the people that good times would come back.
 
* We said the BJP would bring down prices soon after it comes to power. The petrol and diesel rates have come down at least 10 times during the last 7 months. The prices are coming down and due to the efforts of Modi government, the domestic budget of common man is witnessing a saving of at least Rs 1500  every month.
 
* Jan Dhan Yojana was announced in August and began to be implemented from September. In the past few months, we could ensure that at least 10 crore new bank accounts. Make In India began to be implemented within one month of announcement. Adarsh Gram Yojana too is a hugely successful programme. Swachh Bharat is aimed at realising the dream of clean India through public-private partnership and citizen participation.
 
* BJP has reversed the UPA decision to scrap agricultural subsidies at the WTO and has firmly said that it would continue to give support price to the farmers and this has now been accepted by the WTO. This is a major step and a big boost to the farmers.
 
* We are committed to leash in black money and we are focussing on that issue. Prime Minister Modi is taking up the issue at all international fora and is trying to built consensus on the issue. 
 
* We have been successful in removing the UPA's legacy of policy paralysis and have removed the system of group of ministers. Now the ministers take their own decision and the PMO guides them.
 
* We have revived the glory of Yoga and through our efforts, 170 nations have supported our call for an International Day of Yoga. Accordingly, UNO has agreed to celebrate the International Yoga Day. Modi's foreign policy has been hugely successful.
 
* The planning commission has been scrapped and the top-down system of planning has been done away with. Now the planning is federal and inclusive of the state specific requirements. 
 
* Gujarat and MP already have 24 hour power supply and Rajasthan is well on its way to become a 24x7 power supply state. We will soon enter into MoUs with other states on this issue. 
 
* The people are happy with our performance and that accounts for our stunning successes in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
 
* We have planned to take these achievements  to every home. We are preparing a strategy to take these achievements to the people.
