AP CM YS Jagan Nonchalant, Though Oppn. Try To Corner Govt - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is completely unworried by the opposition parties attack on state government and yellow media negative publicity on all government schemes. His nonchalant attitude in implementing welfare schemes yielding good results and applause from all corners.

YS Jagan has raised his voice over the opposition leaders, including Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and other leaders who are trying to gain political mileage by defaming the party spreading smear campaign to malign the government schemes like Amma Vodi, English medium introduction in government schools, overcoming sand shortage in a very short period.

Amma Vodi Improving the Literacy Percentage in State

Under the Amma Vodi scheme, the AP government allotted Rs 15,000 financial aid to the families for sending their students to government school, aiming at improving the literacy rate in the state and providing education for poor children.

With Amma Vodi scheme till now 20,000 new admissions in 4,783 government schools across 14 assembly constituencies this year about 8,000 new admissions have been reported in municipal schools.

AP Has Surplus Sand For Next Three Years

The AP government has successfully resolved the sand scarcity problem in the state, with the success of the sand week programme.

The state is now capable to meet the sand requirements of the state for the next three years without any interruption. The state government is making a profit up to Rs 2 crore per day by selling the sand.

Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Chandrababu Naidu had earlier conducted deeksha at Dharna Chowk over the sand shortage in the state. It may be recalled that his government had fined Rs 100 crore for illegal stocking of sand.

Even though Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan spread false propaganda on sand shortage in AP which was caused due to floods, people didn't buy their statements as the public mandate clearly is with the YS Jagan.

English Medium For Better Future of Andhra Children

The AP state government has planned to implement English medium in government schools for the people who cannot afford private education. For the students to compete in global employment or career opportunities, one has to be prolific in English medium.

The main purpose of the government's initiative of implementing English medium is to provide that opportunity to the students from poor and marginal background.

Government started training 68,000 teachers for teaching in English by making a memorandum of understanding with South Korea to gear up technical and educational training in the state.

Chandrababu Naidu had initially harshly criticised the initiative, but after receiving brickbats for the English medium school initiative, he retracted his statement.

YS Jagan came down heavily on Oppositions political vendetta on the YSRCP government which is always pro-people. The AP CM has questioned the opposition leaders asking if he made any mistakes in doing good for the people in the last five months.

He said, “I have been planning to transform the backward classes into the backbone of the state. Was it a mistake?"

Instead of supporting AP government strong determination for the welfare of people, Opposition political parties are trying to mislead the people by projecting the government schemes and works in the wrong way.

YS Jagan said that within five months after voted to power YSRCP has fulfilled most of the promises made by him during the padayatra.
