Security Tightened In Kurnool Ahead Of Muharram, Ganesh Immersion - Sakshi Post

Kurnool: The Kurnool police is overseeing security arrangements in the district in view of the Muharram and Ganesh immersion days. To ensure that both the festive events go on peacefully, around 1,000 security personnel would be present in and around the city on Tuesday.

The Superintendent of Police, Fakeerappa Kaginelli, told a daily that they had allocated two Additional Superintendents of Police, 10 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 33 circle inspectors, 56 sub-inspectors, 382 constables, 300 home guards, 10 special party squads, four APSP platoons, and four additional reserve platoons. He also added, “We have been conducting peace committee meetings with Muslim and Hindu community leaders in all the sub-divisions and police stations.”
He also added that they would allocate separate time slots for both the events. The police will also be monitoring traffic carefully.
Cranes, lifeguards, and medical teams have been put in place along with lighting for both the processions to go on without any problem. Multiple public address systems have also been arranged to alert people.
