Andhra Pradesh Know Your Minister: Vellampalli Srinivas

YSRCP Vijayawada West constituency MLA Velampalli Srinivas took oath as the Minister in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Cabinet on Saturday. He has been given the Cabinet post as the Endowments Minister.

He was elected as MLA through the Praja Rajyam Party in the 2009 Legislative elections in Andhra Pradesh.

In 2014 elections, Vellampalli Srinivas who contested as a candidate from the TDP-BJP alliance, faced defeat by a narrow margin of 3,108 votes from the Vijayawada West constituency against Jaleel Khan of YSRCP.

In 2019 elections, YSRCP candidate Vellampalli Srinivas defeated TDP candidate Shabana Musrat Khatun in Vijayawada West constituency.

The YSRCP MLA has dedicated his focus towards for the development of the Arya Vysya community.
