Dhone TDP Cadre Ignores Local MLA 

Dhone: As elections are set in a few weeks, ruling leaders are busy assigning tasks of distributing money to the second rung of the cadre. But, for Dhone constituency in Kurnool things are not working out as expected for the ruling party.

It is learned that TDP candidate from Dhone has given a call to the entire local cadre for distributing money before the elections. However, none of them is willing to take up this task.

The reasons being cited by them are that firstly, if the candidate loses, then the local cadre will be blamed and they will be forced to pay back the amount given to them.

Secondly, even if the candidate wins then with the majority of the votes, it can be cited as a reason to force them to pay back the money.

To avoid all of these, the local supporters of the party are heeding a deaf ear to their MLA candidate. It is reported that the wind is in favour of the YSR Congress party and predicting the defeat they are maintaining their silence.

Here are a few instances from the past:

While KE Prabhakar contested from the constituency, his elder brother’s KE Krishna Murthy’s son KE Prathap handled all the monetary issues. In that election, Prabhakar lost against former Chief Minister Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy with a difference of 7000 votes. Apparently, Prathap forced former Peapalli mandal president RE Krishna Murthy to pay back the amount given to him.

One of the former Sarpanchs from Krishnagiri mandal way back then in Dhone constituency and another Sarpanch from Peddapujarla mandal were threatened by the family in order to make them pay the money back.

There is a talk in the people of the constituency that after losing in 2014 general elections KE Prathap forcefully got the money back given to the people.

Recently, one leader from Auvladoddi wanted to join the opposition party, since then he is being threatened to pay equally for the work he got done under their name in the current government and leave the party.
